How do you become best friends with someone?

I know that this question is kind of stupid, but I'm close friends with someone, and I wonder how I can be best friends with her. At the same time, though, she already has a best friend (who I don't really like).





Am I just overanalyzing this? What do I do?

Things will work out the way they should. Just remember, this isn't a race or a competition. Don't put her in a position to choose and give her the space to be with her other friend. Never say anything negative about her other friend as that will make her feel disloyal and she won't like you for it. And, by the way, being a best friend doesn't have to be mutual. She is your best friend, and just because she's also best friends to someone else doesn't negate how you feel.How do you become best friends with someone?
