How can I become best friends with someone who just counts you as a friend?

I have a regular friend but I want to be his best friend and his current best friend is just dorky and I don't understand it.How can I become best friends with someone who just counts you as a friend?

having a best friend is overrated. it's better to have a group of close friends to hang out with. plus, he's not worth it if he doesn't even want to be your bf.

You could be a better friend by understanding his choice of friends. Your judgement of his current best friend doesn't seem to make you qualified or the job yourself..





Friends don't keep score. Be a good friend to him, that's all anyone would ask. And the reward to you is that you get a good friend in return.
Ask him to hang out with you more!! Just get to know him better by talking about stuff that you both care about. You will get closer but you have to give it time.
