How to become better friends with someone?

I have a friend who i met a few weeks ago,


i really like her, she's one of the nicest people ive ever met


but sometimes i feel like i can't think of anythin to say in a conversation!


one of the things that made me want to be her friend is that she is the same ethnicity as me


and ther aren't many people around who are, that id be friends with.


and i think if i was to tell her about the fact i can understand and read+write a bit of our language she'd be interested about that and also it'd be something we could talk about,


but i cant just bring it up without it sounding really stupid.


anyway i need some ideas for conversation,


and also if anyone can think of things i can do or say to indicate what i'm trying to tell her about who i am?

ask her what she likes to do, her favorite music, etc.





then make an effort to learn about her interests so you'll have things in common.





share your interests, perhaps she'd be interested in learning more about your interests, therefor having more in common.





ask her if there is something she'd like to do but has no one to do it with. cooking classes, book reading clubs, etc, etc

umm.. do you have any mutual hobbies? Do you both read certain books or like certain films? Sure, go ahead and start with the cultural link, ask how she relates to your culture, etc. But hey - don't isolate yourself just in that friendship just because she's the same ethnicity as you. Try to branch out and make more friends too..
well i would just like ask here how is ur day and just ask her wat her favorite classes are and how is she doing and just some simple things like that that really count i now that i have that same problem as well its like my mind goes blank and i cant really think of anything else to say
