How can you prevent people from seeing that you're friends with someone on facebook?

i want to become friends with someone, but my brother would get mad.. hahah. how can i add him without my brother or anyone finding out? and i don't just mean deleting the thing that says i become friends with him, i mean 100% completely disabling that.

Hi, unfortunately with the new privacy settings you can no longer hide a particular friend from your friends. Your friend list is visible to all friends. There is no way to hide him.How can you prevent people from seeing that you're friends with someone on facebook?
If you're talking about the news feed, where it says you became friends with so and so, you can't disable that.
