How do I become friends with someone who is, for lack of better words, a loner?

There is this guy in one of my classes and he is a bit of an anti social. My friend and I want to befriend him. But we don't know how to appeal to him. He is quiet and reserved and talks to no one. I'm one of those people, but I'm not him, so he might be very different from me. Anyway, do not ask him, ';What's up,'; or little questions like that that are hard to reply to. If you want to break the ice, then you need to ask questions that'll start a conversation. Also, just know that it's probably more awkward for him. Don't interrogate him. I hate when people do that to me. Also, don't treat him like he's some strange person who is so different. See, people ask me what I do after school. They say they really wonder. It's insulting to me, because they think I don't have a life, or that I just sit around. I think it will be okay to ask his interests. Let him know that he can trust you, and that you're not just using him for some quick entertainment. Ask him what he thinks about certain topics. Just go up and start talking. Say hi and introduce yourself. Ask him what he likes to do and if he wants to hang out with y'all after school or something. Like go get a soda or hang out while you wait for the bus or even talk with him ON the bus!





I bet he will be very appreciative of you for trying to be his bud!
Just be really outgoing and start asking him all about himself.

Just walk up to him and just say like hey thats a cool ___________! Just compliment kind of or if there is a group assignment, invite him to join!
try to hang out with him... c what his interests are and go with it... good for you for wanting to befriend him...
just talk to him. ask him questions. Make jokes. etc
