How do you become friends with someone who you generally only talk online to?

We go to the same school and we have some classes together, but in real life i have only talked to him ONCEHow do you become friends with someone who you generally only talk online to?
You asked me to answer this, so here goes.





I would just say something like ';hey we should catch up some time, we always talk on here, but hardly ever in person, it could be fun'; or if thats not your style invite them to some sort of group event so theres no pressure, like going to the movies or a coffee shop or something.





Do you like him as more than a friend? IF you do, because you mostly talk online, why not just tell him you like him, because it wouldn't be that awkward if he rejects you online anyway, so its could only turn out well. And if hes spending that much time talking to you anyway, chances are he likes you.

I would start with letting him know you talk to him online. If you talk online and have stuff in common, I would just relax and pretend you are safe behind your computer, take deep breaths and just remember if he thinks your intresting enough to talk to online, your probly intresting enough to talk to in person. Yeh thats hard, this happens alot, its because when you online you have a chnace to think about waht your going to say and you can just be like ';be right back'; if you dont know what to say, in real life you cant.


I have the same problem, i think its the fact that i started talking to him online first that made it awkward to talk to him in person but now we've strted waving and saying short sentences to each other now lol.


but it should get there eventually..just go up to him and try and make conversation..if it doesnt wok it doesnt, those things happen.

Talk to him a lot. if you generally talk to him on msn, then every time he signs on say hi and stuff. talk about common interests, etc. Once you start to get to know each other really well, then talk to him more often in person. if you really wanted, ask for his mobile :)
Keep talking online. If talking at school is hard, next time your online ask to meet up outside of school so you can talk person to person. Continue socialising and you'll be friends in no time.
